Default Traded My Cayenne Today

Traded in my 2012 CS for a 2013 M5. They gave me almost what I paid for it when I bought it new, held its value really well!

Still have a CT for hauling the family around, but I am really enjoying the 560 HP in the M5.

Curious how many miles on the cayenne and what percentage was the depreciation?

Thanks.

Congrat on your new car. I did also traded my 2013 Cayenne GTS (bought back in August) for 2014 M5 with Competition packaged last month. Lost big on Cayenne but I have no regrets. M5 is a fantastic car.

M5, really, do they still smell like 1970 Volkswagen new, or did they upgrade the upholstery?

I am really just kidding and having fun, Congrats on your purchase.

MSRP was $74K, I paid $68K. Had 8500 miles on it, they gave me $64K on the trade. Trading the Cayenne in saved me about $5K in state taxes, so it was like it didn't lose any value to me.

They had a hard time pricing it because there was only one auction veheicle from 2012. It was sold for $62K, but had much higher miles than mine.

Thanks! We were test driving the M6 for my wife and I loved it. Drove the M5 and I liked it better, I don't have the comp package but drove the M6 with it plus the carbon brakes and it was a blast even with the engine power limited for the brake in period.

I have some random 2012 Cayenne parts sitting here from my upgrade projects that I am thinking of selling on ebay. The lower mirror trim pieces left and right side, standard rear spoiler trim, yellow side markers and a pair of hardly used secondary cats (the dealer said they didnt want them since I have the cat baypasses installed). This isn't stuff you would typically need unless your car was damaged or you own a body shop, but maybe someone here is interested?

MSRP on Cayenne GTS was $101700, bought for $9300 August 20 of 2013, traded in with 8500Miles for $83K back in Jan - Bought the 2014 M5 with Competition Pkg, MSRP $111500, for $105K. Lost a lot but I must say that I really do enjoy the M5, no question about that ...
