Wheel lug pattern and model year compatability
Hello all newbie here. I just purchased a 2013 S with 21s. I want to purchase winter wheels and tires. So I look on e bay and see lots of options. Sellers talk about model year wheel compatability.
1. What model year lug patters are compatability with the 2013 year car?
2. What is the wheel size recommended for winter tires?
Note. I live in NY near the city, the roads are horrible with deep potholes and tire/ wheel disasters are commonplace.

Look in your owner's manual for the winter tire sizes. As for the lug pattern I would be surprised if it's any different on the '13 S than the 955's or 957's but you're right to verify.
You could call your dealer or 800- Porsche for their answer.

Porsche still used the 5x130mm bolt pattern that is has for 50yrs. The thing you will need to check is the offset of the wheels. That will depend on the width. I personally would make sure they are a quality wheel from a known manufacturer. A lot of cheap porous Chinese knockoffs out there that look OK, and some even clone the TUV stamps and such but are weak.

The hubs are different from the early years vs later years, 71.5 vs 71.6. I have tried the later model Cayenne wheels on my 06 and although they fit, it was not snug and I did get some vibration. Many people are running the replica wheels that are 71.6 on early models so it can be done.
