That looks nasty but repairable - The component above the one which has overheated has broken away from the pads (which might be the cause of the initial flickering) . There is also a resistor burned out top right. Any competent techie should be able to replace the components and get you going again.

talked to a very knowledgable guy a few minutes ago. after send him pic he said there is no way to fix that due to when it blew, 12 volts wen through the whole board and most likely took out more than just what I can see.

I gave up looking and I'm not looking for Porsche to rob me so I opted for Mercedes units - apart from the constant warning light they work for me and cost me $100 a piece.

I have one more option. A new headlight assembly has been on order from when I bought the car last month. It is still on back order and comes with the ballast. I’m going to have the dealer cancel that order and buy me two new V.03 ballasts for 1100 instead of the 2400 dollar headlight assembly.
There is no ship date in the horizon for the headlight so I may go this route today.

I just found two 02 codes ones from a GTS, so I have 95563119400 which I stuck on eBay if anyone is interested - else contact me via PM, happy to do a swap for something I need or some other deal, I know these things are hard to find.
