Opinions/Thoughts Please on a couple of 08/09 Cayenne for Purchase
First, I want to say thanks to everyone for all their activity and insights. While I just now registered, I feel I have been here a LONG time with as many pages and posts I have read !
With that, I wanted to just get some general ideas on a few cars I'm looking at - I know it is tough to give an opinion on something you haven't seen so I will try my best to explain.
As a backdrop, I currently drive an F250 King Ranch and have a newborn coming shortly - I hate the idea of the truck for that. I was originally thinking of keeping the truck and getting an older 996 for fun, but really, the diesel isn't like having a real second car as my wife can't really drive it. I then started thinking car (mostly E63 or CLS 63), but I'm just not sure that will get me to where I want either. I then started thinking SUV - broad search including Cayenne, RR, Armada, QX56, Yukon, Escalada, blah blah blah. The idea being if I went something lower in cost (like Armada) I could have the DD plus still do the 911. The reality is - I don't really think would pull the trigger super fast on a 911 if did something like that and then I'd be in a boring/big SUV.
That brings me to basically only looking for a Cayenne TT or GTS. With that, the opinions I was looking for are on a few cars I currently see available:
2008 Cayenne Turbo 33K - ~80K miles, but pretty well decked out. Pano, PDCC, etc.
2008 Cayenne Turbo 39K - ~65K miles and even more decked out than above. Pano, PDCC, Full Carbon interior, Sportdesign Package, Thermal Insulated Glass, Illuminated Door guards, etc. Total delivery price on sticker was 125K.
2008 Cayenne Turbo 43K ~35K miles. Pretty decked out as well - PDCC, Rear Entertainment.
2008 Cayenne GTS 37K ~ 58K miles. Not very decked out beyond standard (no PDCC, etc.) However, this is/does have CPO
2009 Cayenne GTS 44K ~ 44K miles. Not very decked out beyond standard.
2009 Cayenne GTS 45K ~ 52K miles. Not very decked out beyond standard.
Soooo - these are all make up a very large quandary They each have something going for it - options, miles, CPO, etc.
I love something with 35K miles - but that price seems a little high.
I love something with CPO - but not many options.
I love something with great options - but 85K miles seems pretty high.
So - what is your opinion or "ranking"?
Are more options desirable or less miles? Would you rather have less options, but the newer electronics in a 2009? It seems like something with options will be more desirable from potential resale, but I'm trying not to look at it that way.
As an FYI, all carfaxes are pretty clean. None have that "awesome" everything done at Porsche dealership, but no wrecks or things like that. I would still be looking at a PPI, but really trying to figure out what the majority opinion on different scenarios. I'm also trying to say that a buyer for a 2008 is getting more unique as the costs are still fairly high and you now have two "upgrades" since 2008.
Really appreciate thoughts and thanks in advance for any replies.

I just bought an '08 CTT with 71k miles for $31k. No PDCC but nicely loaded. One owner, great shape and all maintenance other than brakes and tires done at a P dealer. After 6 years I'd say mileage isn't that critical as age will start to take a toll regardless.
Biggest difference going to an '09 is the touch screen nav and factory bluetooth but as I'm planning on doing an aftermarket stereo that was a non-issue to me.

Personally #1 or #2 would be my choice. While I love the GTS, and the prospect of a manual was a bonus, after driving the GTS, followed by a loaded Turbo with PDCC, it wasn't even a consideration anymore.
Condition is much more important than mileage. The carbon interior certainly is cool, and I'm a huge fan of PDCC in the Cayenne.
Good luck with your search! We were in the same situation with a diesel pickup and a Jeep, wife wanted a Cayenne to be her "Minivan" when our first son arrives in May. She absolutely loves it.

I would suggest an iPad and one of those mounts on the back of the seat. The quality on those rear entertainment systems get so dated real quick. I have a 6yr old, and the iPad does more than enough!

I am SORRY you wrecked yours !!! We had ice here (Dallas) and it shuts city down
I'm kinda thinking the same on the mileage - we are, after all, talking about 6 years old right now. The two that looked the most decked out and similar are ~6K dollars difference. I really don't know if 20K less miles should calculate to 6K. Seems like a lot held in place by options, which isn't easy to do for a seller.
Personally, I don't care about the electronics all that much. If I did, FARRR better options than any pre '11 Cayenne

However, she likes the Cayenne and RR only for an SUV. Since I was looking at other stuff as well, I said I would narrow search to those two IF, when I ever do get a 911, I have the option of a stick - nature of compromise
I agree on condition evaluation as well. PDCC seems extremely hard to find on a GTS.

Plus, the one that has it is 10K more than one of the options I listed. Sure, 50K less miles, but that is a BIG premium for that low mileage. I also think that is why the dealership has had that Cayenne for 8 months!!! Couldn't believe they had held onto that long.
I tried to explain that buyers for the '08 Turbos are going to be pretty specific and a smaller demographic. A lot of people don't care as much for the performance as they would touch screen (09) or, even more, a whole new and VERY sexy interior ('11).

Colors are all good.
First two - silver/black silver wheels
Second two - triple black
Last two - black/black silver wheels
Number 2 does seem really nice - 6k seems a pretty decent chunk for the 20k less miles. I drive about 5k a year - that could change though. The other part - all but number two are local. Number 2 is around 300 miles away so a little tougher to evaluate.
It is interesting the overwhelming favoritism toward TT - especially with the one GTS being CPO.
Options and power are well thought of it seems
