Default my new 2014 CGTS

Hello

New to the forum and recent purchase of a black on black 2014 GTS 2 weeks ago. It's a dream car for me. Demo with $5,000.00, 10K off MSRP.

Options:

Front heated/ventilated seats
multi function heated steering wheel
Panorama roof
Porsche entry drive
PCM/Nav
Park Assist
LCA
Bose sound system
21" 911 Turbo II wheels
Dimming mirror memory package
14 way seats
Sirius/XM
Porsche cayenne rubber mats (for the kids' footprints)

I also purchased a set of 20" sport design II w/ Conti cross contacts which are on the car now. I wanted an all season wheel set that could also get me through the snowy days in Ohio without feeling rushed to get them off once winter is done. It will also save a little tread on the 21" wheel set over time. It has served me well so far since we've had a few snowfalls since purchase. The Conti's are adequate in the snow.

Traded a 2013 Audi A4 Allroad which I found to be a very functional car for my family and as a daily driver. However, nothing puts a grin on my face like the CGTS sport mode and exhaust note!

Pics below are from dealer. Weather has been bad and haven't had a chance to take pics that would do the car justice.

I look forward to the hearing any suggestions for mods, maintenance, etc from all of you.

Beautiful! You will love it. Guessing you meant demo w/ 5k miles and purchased $10k off? Sounds like a good deal for a well optioned 2014 GTS.

The Porsche Entry and Drive option looks different in the interior photo by looking at the key. Did they change the 'dummy key' for 2014?

Good looking car. They are a blast. Is that dead pedal cover a Porsche part? I have never seen that before. My 2014 did not have it. I just ordered an aftermarket Rennline. http://www.paragon-products.com/Fact...-p/rnl-p16.htm

Thanks guys. I'm loving it more everyday.

BlazinPond-I did mean 5K miles and $10K off sticker. I thought it was a reasonable deal for me. For comparison, two similarly optioned new 2014 GTS's at the same dealership were negotiated to $7,200 and $7,600 off sticker

mcifpseric-wheels not for sale. I still want them for the good weather.

Modifier-dead pedal came stock with the GTS. The other two 2014 GTS's at the dealership also had them.

kalian-to my knowledge, only the 2014 V6 cayenne can come in manual.

I did't know that there was an OEM part for this. Anyone have a part number? I was going to order the same one modifier mentioned.

Spindoc, I sent a photo of the dead pedal in your car to my dealer and he has never seen such a thing. Can you ask your dealer about it. I'm sure there are several owners who are curious.

Thanks

Yes, I'm on that list and will be watching for an update (if you would be so kind, doc.) Although, modifier, that aftermarket one you found looks really good also, and easy to install. Let us know how it looks in person and if you keep it, how it stands up function wise, being a simple stick on.

And Doc, beautiful GTS by the way. Congratulations.

The best part about the one I ordered is that it covers the entire dead pedal hump. If it was only on the top, the carpet on the side would still get dirty. I have an umber/cream interior with off white carpet and it took 30 minutes of driving after I picked up my new car for there to be black stains on it. I love the bright, airy, clean look of the light interior up top, but I really think Porsche should reconsider white carpet in the foot wells. Why not umber down there?

I have a tan interior, another light color that is easily soiled as soon as you step on it. I've basically trained myself to not use the dead pedal when driving the p!g. So silly.

Sorry for the thread hi-jack, but doc, that is one beautiful dead pedal you got there in your new GTS! I bet you weren't expecting that feedback.
