Blunterbryn - yeah, the inside of the truck is a bit "banged up".. I used to load my mountain bike inside with the seats folded before the wife got me a bike rack.. I really use my P!G as an SUV versus the regular grocery getter lol

I usually rag on trying to mount tires on non-approved rim sizes. However, a 10" wide rim is a Vredestein approved rim width for the 315/35/20 SUV Sessanta tire (according to the tech info at the Vredestein website). That makes Vredestein an exception to the industry norm of requiring a 10.5" rim for tires of the 315/35/20 size. So if you're okay using non-Porsche approved tires, this looks like a decent option for the staggered 20" Sport Techno style wheel set-up.

The reality is, at least for me, we are not driving these cars on a track every day. I am happy when I hit 100 on the turnpike, in a straight line. Do we really need to follow the N-Spec? I would just like a quiet summer tire that I can have a little fun with. I am not racing.

This is my first Porsche and I haven't had to change tires yet so I really can't comment whether or not you need to adhere to the N spec. With that said, I can't see why you can't use non-N rated tires.

The only other thing I read was to not mix N and non-Rated tires. That sort of makes sense.....

It is also important to know that while Porsche N-specification tires have been fine tuned to meet the specific performance needs of Porsche vehicles, the tire manufacturers may also build other tires featuring the same name, size and speed rating as the N-specification tires for non-Porsche applications. These tires may not be branded with the Porsche N-specification because they do not share the same internal construction and/or tread compound ingredients as the N-specification tires. Using tires that are not N-specific is not recommended and mixing them with other N-specification tires is not permissible.

I would imagine that you can tune the suspension and electronics a little better if you know exactly which type of tread compound is going to be on the car.

I've bought my cars primarily for the handling so I stick to N rated.

Yep, the Cordobes Tires shop in El Monte, CA has gotten the Vreds for me overnight for next day installation. Just call up, put a small deposit down over the phone as it's a special order, and show up next day for immediate service. Both times, I was in and out of there in about 30 minutes. Even with the sales tax, they are able to slightly beat the online+shipping pricing. Very happy to have a shop like that carrying Vredestein in the area.

Thanks digitaljok! Will consider that next time! I had to wait a little over a week to get mine, and haven't even gotten them installed due to work being hectic. Next time I need it, I could use a drive down to LA to get it.

Aren't you guys afraid for differential ?
Mixing 2 different threads can cause issue and technically this tire can create problems because how is not directional
