Default 2015 Cayenne

any update as to when these will be available to build and be delivered. I'm planning on placing an order for a Platinum CD to be delivered sometime in April. If the 2015 is just around the corner, I'd rather wait. One of the dealers told me that he thought next month we could start ordering them for May delivery??

Not sure if that makes sense.
The June or July builds have tended to be the new model year.

Do a thread search to see when people have gotten new model years.

We ordered in March for a European delivery of the new model year in July.
My understanding at the time was the new model year began building in June.

I'm not saying it makes sense. The Macan is supposed to arrive in April as a 2015.

My 2014 was a late July delivery and it was built on July 2. That was about 3 weeks after start if production for the 2014 MY. I would expect similar timing for 2015.

No worries.

We don't see a lot of sense in vehicle production since they started selling the next year in the fall, then the late summer, then the spring???

Maybe they wanted to try and get every possible unit of production out of the 2015 model year?
That way they get the "best volume introduction of a new model" award

Same here I'll wait for macan to show up. I doubt it is too small for us. Hope by that time 2015 cayenne will be available to order. May be even earlier. Seems like lot of welcome changes- tail light, spoiler, steering (things I didn't like in current model). I really hope they don't screw up the front end. But spy pics are not promising!
