Default Cayenne No Air Suspension

Starting my search for a 2006 or later Cayenne S with out air suspension. I've owned an allroad with air suspension, it's great until it breaks. I've owned a V8 Touraeg without and didn't miss it.

How difficult is it to locate one without air suspension? Thanks.

It is extremely easy to find an S without it. Also I think you are being a bit knee jerk about it as the air suspension is easy to refurbish with a seal kit for a few hundred dollars.

It's a standard feature on the turbo. It's actually fairly uncommon on the S, so you should be able to find one pretty easily.

You are right about that.. Only a few out a 100 had it when I was shopping.

The Air suspension on my Cayenne S seems to be more reliable than the Allroad. Especially the shocks.

We had the entire system replaced on our Allroad. Our Cayenne has the original shocks at ~130K miles. The only maintenance that has been required was rebuilding the compressor pump.

I am at 112,000 miles with no problems at all. (knocking on wooden head). From the research I have done the air system on the cayenne is very reliable and the only problem I have heard of is the compressor seal rebuild which is both cheap and easy to do. A far cry from the problems in other makes.

Haven't had issues with air suspension on wifey's 2006 pepper titanium s and going strong at 125k miles. Did have Cardan shaft blow out at 110k though but car has been solid. Great for towing purposes since its auto leveling and less bumpy for rear passengers in comfort mode. Mike

Nice to hear the reliability is better than the allroad by leaps and bounds and the pump is rebuildable. I will not let the air suspension be a deal breaker if it comes to that.

You'll seriously find it harder to get an S with air suspension. Even so, I have it in my S and it's one of my favourite features.

3 Cayennes with air suspension and not a single issue.
