Default DIY - Scratched Cayenne Door Sills - Brand new again

Hi Guys
I posted this in the general DIY section - perhaps I should have put it here.
So instead of a complete re-post, here is the link.
Hope it helps.

nice work!

Did you cleat coat them after? If not, they will oxidize over time. Not so badly as rims because the sills don't see as much of the elements, but I believe they will haze over time. My rims needed regular maintenance when I polished them.

No - they won't oxidize - they're stainless. Aluminum (that rims are made of) will oxidize, quality stainless can be polished and will stay polished unless something scratches them up. No need to clear coat them, clear coat will make them cloudy looking.

I had the ones on my 997 wrapped with extra clear bra material. Looks better.

I also followed up with a liquid stainless steel polish which helps seal the metal.
