DIY 05 CTT Pressure Pipe O-ring removal
Gentlemen,
I had some time this weekend and put together a DIY pressure pipe O-ring removal. Mine was leaking and the O-ring need to be replaced. So I made a cliff notes DIY to help others in need like me when I needed helped.
The process took me 3 1/2 hours with documenting and carefully observing. I think I could of done it in 2 hours if I didn't have to take pictures and documenting. Anyways...hope this help people with the same problem.

i was changing front diff oil today so had a look at the intake pipes at the same time.
the LHS pipe had a mist of oil. the RHS bone dry. at what stage does it become necessary for you to change the o-ring?
thanks for taking the time to post the info..
should be a WIKI

Just replaced it today. Only had to take off the one clamp on the diverter valve, pushed it away and was able to get the hose off. I removed the sway bar clamp, (two 16mm bolts), to improve access. Only took 45 min. Be interesting to see if there was any boost leak there???

Mine is loose like that also. Do you think that enough air could be lost there to cause the cayenne to pull timing. I have the car tuned so it is pushing more boost and get issues with timing being pulled on occasion under WOT. It is not setting off any codes and car seems to register appropriate boost on my aftermarket gauge but feels really low on power at times under WOT.

Great write up! I have some oil leaking (tiny amount) in front of my driver side tire and believe it is coming from one of the intercooler pipe connection. Since the car is closing in on 10 years old i'm going to replace a lot of the seals on that side this spring. Looks like Porsche updated the part if its now green compared to black so hopefully it will last longer. Thanks again for the write up!

I do not think that is correct, Dilberto.
I just did all of the O rings in my intake plumbing. If you want to go the distance you need 2 of each:
WHT-001-018
955-110-720-00
955-110-721-00
I would also recommend cleaning or replacing the MAFs and throttle body, then replacing the intake y pipe since they crack:
955-110-046-50
...and a new throttle body gasket:
948-110-143-01
...and new diverter valves. I don't have the part number handy, but I have posted the VW part in the past which is the same part and about 1/3 the price of what Porsche rapes people for.
