Porsche PCM question

Do you have online services?
if not then you can use it thru bluetooth or aux connection but the sound really wasn't that great.
you'd need to have the online services to have the traffic icon on your PCM

I have the aha app and it is working. If you have an iPhone you have to have it plugged into the USB port to get it to work. Only the android phones work via Bluetooth.
I bought a short little USB cable (.5m) and plug it into the USB port in the console. It also charges the phone so no more need for a long charging cable plugged into the 'cigarette lighter'.
Just open the app and then go to 'source' and aha will show up in the menu. Select that and you should be off and running!

I have traffic through my XM radio so I haven't bothered with it on aha. I will try it and let you know.
I just opened it and had a look at it, it looks like it has a lot of information on it. All the major roads in my area etc. Seems pretty decent.

Once it is open, you will actually see 'aha' listed in your source menu. It has nothing to do with the jukebox. Try shutting down the app and then restarting it again and give it a second to connect with the vehicle.
Did you go to aharadio.com and create an account for yourself? Not sure if that would matter other than personalizing your account with your own presets etc, but I would do that anyway.

I have the Sirius/XM subscription and the traffic reporting stations. However that feature is very limited to certain cities. My city is not on the list...
I used that station when I was travelling through D.C. It reported on 3 local cities, rotated through the cities every few minutes, but really had no details on traffic situations outside of the rush hour congestion reports.

It shows construction and route info along your route. Pretty handy.

I have a U.S. Spec 991 in Germany with Euro Maps loaded by the Airport dealer in Stuttgart. It receives and displays traffic info. I have the XM/Sirius traffic, weather, and radio option installed but not activated as you can't receive the signal in Europe.
I suspect that when I return to the U.S. and get North American maps loaded the traffic info will only display if I subscribe to XM.

To the OP, I dont think I would subscribe to XM just for traffic. I have it and am not overly impressed with the accuracy (in my area at least - Seattle). It works fine, but I find that using Waze on my iPhone is much more accurate (and shows speed traps as a bonus).
