Cost to keep it vs. buying something new

^I don't know a thing about Tesla...but I love my VW TDI!
My story: for DD I bought a new '01 6TT from 2001-2007 and I replaced it with a new '07 7TT from 2007-now and I have put around 90K miles combined, but since I bought the Passat TDI I have not driven the 7TT in 4 months! I love my mpg...the VW is gutless and soulless, but man, the mpg is awesome!!
I will probably sell the 7TT and buy something really really unpractical...
