I looked at that exact color, but purchased a Cayenne in Dark Olive Green/Saddle Turbo instead.

Why does Porsche make these completely wacky colors - they may works for 911s but for Cayennes it must give the dealers a headache. Was this a special order color? I found a Silver one in FL it has slightly more miles at 44K vs 33K and is 5K more but not the strange color.

If I liked the car, I would not let that color stop me.

Because VW had already picked all the nice paint colors for the Touaregs so there wasn't much left to chose from to paint the Cayennes?
Just a guess ....

Easy choice....if it were perfect and the price was that low....then get it vinyl wrapped or painted.

True to that. Give me a 991 Turbo S. If the car comes with poka dot pink and the price is slashed for this reason I'll still buy it.

Could someone explain why candy apple red is such a catastrophic up charge?

I'm certainly not a fan of the olive green, but, I really like the Jet Green Metallic ... very similar to the Jaguar British Racing Green. That's the color I ordered.

I would have preferred a medium blue ... but, Porsche is too conservative with their colors.

My dealer told me the Red is a big upcharge because people who want Red will pay for it.

I was also told that for $5,000 they will paint the Cayenne any color!
