you can actually see if you have metal pipes or not by strategically using a small telescopic mirror...check the sticky! It's brilliant and works great.

Congrats on the new ride!

I bought my 06 CTTS in Dec 2011 for $45k (65k miles). Crazy fun and problem free until the plastic pipes failed on me at 90mph in 90+ degree heat 2 weeks ago. Classic symptoms...Low Coolant light coming on followed by temp gauge going north quickly. Got off the highway quickly, saw coolant all over and called AAA for the flatbed. Quotes from an Indy and the Dealer came in around $2k to fix (plus another $900 for the water pump); so just be prepared if you still have the plastic pipes!

Still LOVE the car, but *waiting on the $45M class action suit*. Porsche should pay for this mistake.

I found that cargo system online in the 955 Techquipment Catalog. It's Porsche. It's brilliant. I've got requests for quotes from parts dealers in the works.

BTW, to me at least, those metal coolant pipes are important. If the dealer can't provide docs, then I would ask them to video scope it under the intake manifold and show me the video... or find somebody with a camera who can scope it. To me, it's that important.
Got confirmation back from the Porsche dealership in Tysons Corner, VA that the plastic coolant pipes was replaced back in 2011 from another Porsche dealership. One less thing for me to worry about. I also love the Porsche CPO warranty. $0 deductible is awesome.
