Default Cross country shipping times

Gentlemen, and maybe a lady or two. Anyone here have experience shipping a car across country? Specifically how long from initial booking with shipper to the time they pickup? My cayenne is at the dealership ready to go and of course I hate waiting.

Thanks

completely depends on the shipper and method of shipping. Are you on a direct truck, i.e. he picks up the car on the truck used to transport and then goes? Or are they picking up the car on a flatbed, putting it on a truck at a terminal, and then going when they get a full truck's worth.

Also depends on where shipping from and to. The busier the location the faster you will get a truck coming your way.

More specifics needed on above, but usually 5 days to 2 weeks, depending.

Also depends on the big auction schedules, if it's anywhere near the BJ or other auctions there will be a delay.

Good luck.

The more you pay, the quicker you get it.
Also depends if you are getting enclosed or open transport.

Santa Barbara CA to Edmonton AB for my S2000 in closed transport was about a week, including a 1 day hold at the customs house.

Depends where the other vehicles on the truck are going.
