I quickly replied that there must have been a possibility that the plastic tube got damaged when the car went in for a cooling system check, coolant vacuum, and a coolant thermostat housing replacement.

At the end of the day the Porsche center has decided to waive the cost of new coolant fluid and partially pay the inevitable cost of labor, but I will still have to pay for the new radiator.

Do you think for my circumstances I should be asking them to waive everything?

I'd consider myself lucky in these circumstances, be happy you got some assistance for this repair -- consider it a win. Doubt you could get much more, and it would be aggravating to you and your dealership. Also, it is a good idea to keep good channels of communication / goodwill going with your dealership -- particularly if you don't have good good alternatives for repair / service. Chances are, you will need them in the future, so don't **** them off too much.

I had a frustrating experience recently, while my 6 week old Cayenne was at the dealership for something minor, but the wash crew scratched the finish when using a brush -- real stupid. The dealer owned up to it, and had a very good detail guy buff it carefully, and got the scratches out. Cayenne looks like new again -- under florescent lights. I thanked them in person, sent them an email a few days later thanking them again, and gave them perfect marks on the follow-up survey.

Agreed, getting something is better than nothing. I would take their offer, as nothing is really provable, word against word and they are making a good will gesture.

Hello again,

The Cayenne now has a new coolant radiator and there is no more coolant leak.

However, the truck now has a rough idle. There is no perceptible power loss during acceleration nor does the idle hunt. The vibration can only be felt when the truck is idling regardless of gearbox position; it vibrates in P, N, and D.

Upon closer inspection, during idle, I can see the engine slightly shaking.

Also, the airbag warning light pops up from time to time.
