Where is the heavy snow offroading? I kept waiting for them to do something valuable and do a real comparison. It was 10 minutes to find out the new turbo can pull on the old one and has a nicer more modern interior. Wow really?

Agreed. Cute video, but this only reinforces to me that they are very different vehicles - one for exclusive highway tear-ups, and the other hitting the pavement hard, then actually going off-road when you get there.
I think the relative cost differences are pretty major too. Isn't there about a $100K gap between these two models...?

The new one obviously has many improvements, but the old one has attributes that will no longer be present in any new Cayennes going forward - namely the off road ability. I like them both, but the new one can never truly replace the first generation car for me; I actually want the truck-like qualities it offers. After all, there are tons of BMW X5 equivalents out there.
