My '05 CTT has the entry and drive installed, but it did not come with the plastic key for the ignition. Is it like a regular key that needs to be cut or some kind of universal thing. I see them on Ebay, but can't make it out if they are cut already. Can I just get a regular key, cut it leave it in the ignition all the time or it has to be plastic like the OEM?

Mine looks universal, shouldn't need to be cut. Don't know if a metal key would also work.

its just a piece of plastic that enables you to turn the switch thats it.

I wouldn't leave anything that looks like a real key in the ignition. Might prompt someone to break the glass and try to start it.

UPDATE I have another key, but it didn't work. Had an "immobilizer active" message on dash. Got the plastic key from ebay $25 shipped and it works perfectly.
