Default Test Cayenne Diesel S / BMW X5 550D

The latest Auto Motor und Sport has a favorable test between two Diesel v8's.

Thanks for posting the test. It seems that they conclude both are great, but the air suspension in the Cayenne gives it obscenely good handling ability for an SUV and thus an edge over the BMW. It would be useful for car shoppers if one of these car magazines tested each optional drivetrain feature individually rather than two fully-loaded competitor brands. But that would not be necessarily in the interest of the car companies who'd rather have you second-guess yourself into taking all the expensive extras. I would love to really test PTV+ on a car without air suspension and PASM, but I suspect the first one ever built that way will be the one I take delivery of in April. This ends up making me
sort of "PTV+ guinea pig". Next Monday I test a Diesel V8 probably with Air+PASM+PTV+...new Cayennes of any build are not possible to find for test-drives without at least PASM over here, although the dealer keeps telling me it isn't necessary on 18 or 19in wheels.
