Default Running Board / Nerf Bar for 2006 CTTS

Hi, thanks for looking. My new-to-me 2006 Cayenne Turbo S is on it's way from CA to my house in NJ. I'm looking to add running boards / nerf bars so I don't slip on black ice when I exit my truck. I've looked on ebay and it seems like the selection is mostly universal. Did they make an OEM version? If so - does anyone have pictures?

Thanks!

Erik

I don't think they did. BTW the cayenne turbo is definitely low enough in normal mode not to need them at all. In fact I think the addition of them would lead to a more awkward entry and exit and mote chance for slipping.

Thanks for the reply. That's interesting - I'll know when she arrives on Thursday. Most SUV's are somewhat difficult for me to enter/exit when there is ice on the ground. I seem to loose my footing all the time.

Thanks,
Erik

They actually did make an OEM running board set that was an add on from the dealer and included mounting hardware. They're Porsche factory running boards and they're high-quality. The part number was 95504480108.

Excellent, thank you. I'll see how I feel when the truck arrives and go from there.

Thanks,
Erik

You can also drop it down to cargo loading level before you get out. That level is too low for me and I am 5'7".

There is something ironic about getting an overpowered SUV and then having difficulty walking.

I'm 32, just a low center of gravity - lol. For some reason I find black ice - having the bar to step to first helps get out.
