09 Cayenne engine noise
My 2009 Cayenne engine is making some strange noise when idling, but there is no warning or anything. I even asked the Porsche service guy to check it up, but he didn't find anything. Anyone else has similar experience? is it a problem with the engine?
Thanks

Is it like ticking or squeaking or bubbling sound? Does that only occur at startup or after car warms up also?
If it's squeaking it might be belt related, if it's ticking it might be something about low on oil, or if it's bubbling it might be related to coolant...
Maybe it'll help identify more if you take a video of it and share. Good luck!

thanks for the reply. It always seems to happen after the car is warmed up. It sounded more like squeaking. I didn't see anything strange under the hood though. I will record an audio file maybe a little later. Thanks again.

Just uploaded to youtube, link is here. It seemed not only when it's idling, i can hear it even driving at low speed.

If car is under warranty you should bring car back and show this clip to the service rep. My friend's bimmer made similar noise when oil is low, so you might want to check that. Otherwise see if you can remove the beauty covers and identify the source, perhaps a good place to start is the radiator fan area...
Good luck.
