Fender Ding
The 08S I'm looking at has a ding in the front left fender/wheel well. Attached are a couple of pics. Anyone have any idea what would be involved in fixing this?

From your pic hard to tell if the paint is damaged on the fender or just the inside of the lip. If the paint is cracked or missing, that would rule out even your most skilled dent repair guy, unless you just want to straighten out the ding and touch up the lip, rather than bring it in to the body shop.

I haven't seen it in person, but it looks to me like the paint is okay on the fender. Any sense of the cost to get it repaired? Thanks! BTW, that is one awesome garage and car in your avatar!

Doug, if the damage is only limited to the fender lip, perhaps now would be the time to have an aerokit with fender flares installed...

Got a nasty ding from some Ahole in the driver side door.
A mobile dent repair guy came to the house and with a battery powered flourescent light that attached via a suction cup, and 2 wedges placed between window frame and door he used a L shared metal rod that he twisted this way and that. About 30 minutes later the ding was 100% gone. I was truly amazed. $175 but it was making me sick to see that dent

Well, 3 PDR places have looked at the pics and all concluded that it cannot be repaired by PDR because it is along an edge. Body shop estimates $725 for the repair including a "door blend." Going to have to renegotiate the price; hope the deal doesn't go south over it by I'm already paying top dollar.

Late response for me. I use my PDR guy numerous times a year (SoCal people don't have respect to others' cars). I've gotten to know him and his work.
I'd have told that PDR won't fix it because it's on the edge.
We have a couple on the CTT and on the E63. I've learned to live with them. As long as they're on the panel, they're removable through PDR.
I had a lifted truck leave a dent on the C-pillar/roofline of my new E63. Lucky it was just off the edge where it was removable. Otherwise, I would have lived with it for years.
