Default Vibration at lower speeds

I was thinking driver's side front wheel bearing at first but discussing it with my buddy the Porsche tech he said it is very rare for our wheel bearings to go. I know my driveshaft is nearing the end of it's lifecycle at around 75K miles and he said it was showing some dry rot months ago when we did the valve body. The symptoms are a mild wub wub noise and now some vibration at speeds below 60 or 70, it's unnoticeable at highway speeds. Did anyone have similar symptoms from just the driveshaft, and if not has anyone had wheel bearings fail? I want to get some parts ordered prior to an 18 hour round trip drive. Thanks

This sounds like a tire that is failing. If it is coming from one corner, then rotate the tires to see if the noise moves location.
It may be a CV joint on one of the corners too. Rotate the tires and go from there.

A cardan shaft will either chirp lightly as you are accelerating or thump loudly from the console area. It shouldn't sound like a wheel bearing.

I believe if you can wiggle the driveshaft if the support bracket bushing is toast.. If its still good the driveshaft should be snug.

Even a new driveshaft will have some movement at the support bearing. A worn cardan shaft bearing will show deterioration in the rubber, and a bad one will have a lot of movement.
I have done two wheel bearings in Cayennes. Both were front left, but one was the result of an accident. The other one was very obvious once I got the Cayenne off the ground and wiggled the wheel. It was making horrible noise at low speeds only - no noise above 30 mph.
