That's N0, aka Porsche spec.

I have Conti DWS on my 955, too. I agree with you that they ride stiffer than comparable soft compounds, but they are reasonably quiet and they last a whole lot longer, too. They also save the trouble of having to change tires seasonally.

I haven't installed the dws on the cayenne yet but I'm running them on my A7 w/ 20" rims and love them. Very quiet and great in snow.

I have installed the Hankook Ventus tires on both my 2004 GT3 and also an E39 540i. They are reasonably quiet and handle well on dry pavement. They wear well with expected mileage over 20K in each application and IMHO represent a good value.

How many miles did your first set last? I just put a set on my Cayenne.

~32,000, as I recall. It wasn't great in terms of mileage, but it was as vast improvement over the OE Conti SportContact 4x4 tires. One thing that I really liked about the DWS was the fact that they remained smooth and quiet, right up until the end. The Hankooks and the Conti SportContact 4x4s were howling like a banshee after 10 - 15K miles.

Guys, what size of DWS are you running? I want to get a set for 20x10 wheels. I consulted tirerack and they said that 295/40's might rub and recommended the 275/40s.

I'm running 275/40 R20 on my stock Sport Technos. The Sport Technos in 2004 weren't yet staggered, so mine are 20x9 all the way around.

Just installed round #3 of the DWSs on my '04 CTT. First two sets of four lasted roughly 60K miles - and I only paid for 1.25 sets due to the generous 50K warranty.

I love them, and happily paid through the nose for this set.
