I have purchased seven new vehicles from this dealer in the past two and 1/2 years so they are very interested in resolving this issue. I am currently in discussions with them about getting a new one with a couple of grand out of my pocket to do so. The vehicle is eligible for the PA lemon law at this point but the process is a time consuming and frustrating one. If I cannot reach an amicable trade with the dealer than I will initiate the lemon law process. Porsche NA has been totally unreponsive to both myself and the dealer and the Cayenne will sdaly be my last Porsche unless there is an obvious change in management/ownership and some focus on customer service. I wish anyone luck in dealing with Porsche because they could care less about us customers and believe they do us a favor by letting us drive their cars.

As a final roll of the dice if satisfaction is not acheived consider bypassing PCNA with a letter to Stuttgart - Copy to the Chairman, Kundumzentrum etc - a bit of a long shot but worth doing if only for the record. They really do care in Germany.

Let me chime in here. I've had a positive experience with PCNA and the area Representative from repeated warranty issues and our 1998 Carrera. The P dealership I'm familiar with works without a clue, that there's no question. These guy's (some dealers) are part of the problem and not the solution as the saying goes. Reach out to the area Rep.,, yeah, I know again. Our area Rep made it happen where the dealer was hopeless. His name was Rick Perkins.

I had similar experiences with PCNA like Stirs. No help at all! At one point in our conversation they even questioned weather i'm a Porsche customer or not because I have bought all my P-Cars used!!!! They did absolutely nothing to resolve the problem I had with the Porsche dealer I bought my cab from and plainly said that I have to take it up with the dealer not them... Like I had not done so in the first place...
They need to wake up and smell the coffee, but i have no saying in that since I'm not a Porsche customer. My 2 993's I guess do not qualify me for being one

If PCNA feels that way, they are incredibly shortsighted. The traditionally robust second hand market for Porsches fosters strong residuals and the whole Porsche mystique. I'm certain that the new cars would not sell half as well if there weren't so many folks just pretending to be Porsche customers.

There I met a couple of really nice people.
It reminds me of a story that a friend of mine experienced. Her Boss in Monaco is a very wealthy down to earth guy. He wanted to buy a maranello so he walked in the Ferrari dealership at Monaco wearing jeans and a t/shirt. the morons there did not give him any attention and they continued their small talk so he got pissed off and went back to his office. He asked my friend to call anywhere in the world and get him a maranello in blue color if I remember correctly. She looked on the internet and found a US dealer in NY so she called them and told them about what happened. The dealer obviously explained the difficulty of getting the car back to europe and said that he would call the factory.
20 minutes later my friend got a call from the Ferrari factory and the next morning two reps flew in from Italy with suitcases full of samples of leather and colors for her boss to choose his maranello...I just wonder what happened to these two clueless Ferrari salesmen at the dealer in monaco

I am beginning to wonder if it is stupidity rather than patience. Regardless, the saga is about to end. My dealer has agreed to trade my LEMON '03 for an '04. The MSRP on th '04 is $1,300 less and I have to put in $2,000 cash so my total loss is around $3,300. I could have gone through the lemon law process and lost nothing but the frustration and BS just isn't worth it. Porsche NA has been totally unresponsive to both myself and the dealer and I have lost all respect for Porsche as a company. The Cayenne will be my last Porsche and I will keep my 2001 C4 and maintain indefinitely instead of looking to upgrade it. A word to the wise to any Porcshe buyers . . .make sure your dealer is a good one and will stand behind you because Porsche corporate could care less about its customers !! <img border="0" alt="[grrrrrrr]" title="" src="graemlins/cussing.gif" />

If I were you I would start the lemon law process. Once it is started Porsche will gladly swap out your Cayenne for a new one. They do not want to have a lemon law vehicle against them. It might be a pain but it is better than losing $3,300.

I wonder if PCNA reps read Rennlist. Actually, it would be a smart move on the part of Porsche to stay connected to this community. Microsoft is known to monitor the MS technical usenet threads. It would be proactive for Porsche to root out the unsatisfied and make things right. Just a thought.
