My car is 16 years old right now and still sounds more solid than my dad's '01 chevy or my mom's '03 mazda. It's very comparable to some of the new MB's & BMW's I was looking at @ the last auto show.

Scott,

Congratulations on the new ride. <img border="0" alt="[cheers]" title="" src="graemlins/beerchug.gif" />

I put dedicated snow tires on the 993TT (Pirelli Wintersport 240's) each winter, but our Range Rover drives perfectly in snow with its all-season 255/55-19 <a href="http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?tireMake=Goodyear&tireModel=Wrangler+HP&vehicleSearch=true&par tnum=555HR9WRHP&fromCompare1=yes" target="_blank">Goodyear Wrangler HP tires</a> . They also handle beautifully in the summer, although I'll admit that I've never taken the thing above 100 mph.

I know they offer the Wrangler HP in 255/50-20. Hope this helps.

Scootin, my 6-year old 993TT is squeak-free.
