Mike - so you like my little tongue-n-cheek P-rib?

I'm with you...my dream to see Porsche+Audi making hot laps again someday with Herr Joest at the helm.

Thanks for asking - work is more volatile then the market - I've been buried. Sometimes though I wonder if it is motion confused with progress.

Have a great week...

Dear Adolf,
You know you should be "very" careful about what you write. You just never know who will read your post and its content. Firstly I am an Australian. Secondly not only did I live in Alice Springs for a number of years but also in Darwin. I have some experience with travelling these roads. I need not say more except to say that whilst the NT has no open road speed limit it is not possible to drive on this road at the speeds you claim and live. Plus the open road limits do not apply in and around the various towns on the way down. One last thing, an average speed of 245kph in 6 hours only gets you 1490km. To cover to actual 1779km from the centre of Darwin to the centre of Alice Springs in 6 hours requires an average speed of 296.5kph,
Ciao,
Adrian

PS: The normal time to drive from Darwn to the Alice takes 17 hours with 2 drivers. Fuel stops are also a problem.

I knew it, there is allways one smart ***.
I should have been more precise, must be my age, joining Bob with his Alzheimer's.
It was actually Jabiruu that took us 6 and half hours.
Maybe you do yourself a favour before youshoot off again on a half cocked story and get an Australian Maagzine called Wheels and Modern Motor and read up on the same trip we did by Porsche Cars Australia with Thomas Mazerrea doing this trip in the same time.Highest recorded speed was 320kmh.
I guess you are one of those backpacking types crawling along the highway at 80k's smoking dope and drinking plonck.
Good riddens that you are back in switzerland. What a miserable place, just been there to the Geneva Motorshow. It must be the only Motorshow in the world were people are allowed to smoke inside.
I was glad when we crossed the border into germany. At least the german allow you to drive fast on the autobahns.
What are swiss? Ein diebisches Bergvolk.
Now go and play in the sandpit with your tonkatoy!

Adrian I just had a look at your HOMEPAGE.
If I was you I would be removing the Porsche Crest very quickly, as you have no authority to display the crest.
It is only some good advise, the lawyers from Porsche are ruthless and I might send them your URL, smarty pants.

And for you scoty, why dont you go and use your hands to play ping pong under your kilt?

Franz/Adolf/Wendy, whatever your name is, you'd need to reach puberty to understand what goes on under a Scotsman's Kilt, an age I suspect you haven't achieved yet.

Enjoy it if and when it happens. God help the gene pool if it already has.....

This morning it was Adolf and now Franz. You can try anything you want. Seeing as you are a complete fraud I do not think anyone really cares. For the record Porsche have my url. Happen to watch LeMans by any chance. Oh one other thing. Jabiru is a long way from Alice Springs on another road and different direction. Stuart Hwy versus Arnhem Hwy. Smoking at a motorshow. Geneva was some time ago by the way. I was just at the Lisbon International motorshow and you can smoke in there as well. I wonder how long it took you to get from Genf to the German border. 20 minutes?
Ciao,
Adrian

Sometimes I wonder if there should be a recomendation by all to limit only Rennlist members to be able to post. While others can still view the boards this will effectively put a stop to little kids and wanabe's posting useless, rude comments that take up precious bandwidth and time.
Better yet the moderator should delete these posts and the idiots that post them.

By the way the Paris International Show is a smoking venue as well.

Danny - my experience is that trolls tend to go back into hiding...which according to Mr. Webster is in a cave or under a bridge.

Different POV (like debates here with Mr. Davis, which have been throughly enjoyable and thought provoking) make sites like this great - even when we disagree.

Later...

you know, what is funny about this type of thing is that the punks that think they are "pushing our buttons" seem incapable of understanding basic characteristics of most Rennlist members... to generalize...
- we're not stupid,
- we're not spoiling for a fight (or a street race),
- we don't believe ANYTHING (including much of what the factory says) without evidence & independent confirmation,
- we're fairly grounded in reality,
- we're fairly tolerant of anything except poor manners, offensive language & hate.

As "virtual communities" go, Rennlist is a paragon of civilization & utility. Porsche ownership, competition, & O&M is highly self-selective. If you are an ***, you are welcome to spend the rest of your life with yourself. If you aren't & are enthusiastic (even emotional) about Porsches, be here now.

John D,

Might I suggest that we ban this "gentleman" with the mysteriously changing identity?

Also, Danny's suggestion might be worth investigating, since its implementation could help maintain Rennlist's civility and integrity, and you deserve to be compensated for providing us with this wonderful home to further our understanding of our cars and make friends with like-minded folks.

I suspect that anyone who can afford one of these wonderful cars, and who benefits from and enjoys Rennlist, would be happy to become a member.

FWIW

These "Wendys" (I like the name ), are probably best delt with via a collective lack of interest. In accordance with that philosphy, this will be my only post on the matter. These people just don't rate my very valuable time.
Cheers All,
Chris
