Default 2006 Cayenne V6 - Full replacement Rotor/Pads

Hi,

I'm need to replace all four rotors and pads for my 2006 Cayenne 3.2L. Dealer quotes for materials/labor are about $2100 right now. Rennology motorsports here in Chicago will do labor if I provide parts ($600 for labor only), so I am asking the community here if I have the right choices for my rotors and pads before I purchase them. (I plan to have Rennology get the needed sensor kits, since they only cost like $20)

Rotors: $675 - All Four

Pads: $250 - All Four

Do it yourself if you can.

What did you end up going with?

I got the ones listed, I've changed rotors and pads on other vehicles I've owned, but I don't have the space or confidence level to work on this type of vehicle yet. So I've gotten the material and will set an appointment with Rennology when my rotors/pads get close to grinding, going to make them last as long as possible since they are getting all replaced anyway.

You will also need the caliper bolts and should replace the brake pad fastening hardware.

I have the Ultimax rotors and Green-Truck pads on my wife's FFRR. I really like the rotors, as they have small slots and are not noisy. No wear after 15K miles. The EBC greens make much less dust than the OE Ferodo pads, have good initial bite with the brake torque increasing as they get warm.

I had the Hawk LTS pads on a GX470, and they are my favorite pad in terms of performance/dust/cost
I had EBC Reds on my WRX, and wore them to the backing plates after 600 miles and 3x20 minute sessions at T-Hill. EBC says they changed the compound, and I'm sure you are not going to track your Cayenne, but.......

I am pretty inexperienced at car repairs.. Motorcycle I am alright.. followed this guide and had NO problems at all changing my pads. Picked up all my parts at suncoast including the caliper pin and sensors. Cost me 277. Shop said 1200 for pads a rotors. A friend said my rotors measured fine.
