I found lots of (lots!) scratches on my car today. All perfect lines and are everywhere around the car.

I have 2 ideas, it is either the ice storm we had a couple of weeks ago doing this, or the paint is cracking.

I will find out tomorrow when I take it to the dealership.

Whatever the reason is, it's not nice.

The car has been in my private garage at my house and at work as well. And I didn't take it to car wash with brushes.

I took it to the dealership today, and they told me it was because of the bag it was shipped in. They will re-detail the car for free!

What color is your vehicle? This sounds like swirl marks or micro scratches caused by poor detailing or using dirty cleaning or drying towels. Darker color cars are difficult to keep these type of "scratches" off of as dust can even cause them. A couple coats of wax and/or a sealant like zaino will go a long way to preventing this.
