Default Quick PCM swap question.

Hi everyone,

Really quick question, just purchased a PCM 2.0 (PCM2 E1 USA EC: 124
Model No.: BE 6636. Arriving next week ) to swap out my CDR-23 on my 04 Cayenne S, anyone can advise me a step-by-step DIY manual for that? Or at least tell if the PCM will actually fit or I'll need to purchase additional brackets and other hardware. Right now I'm at the point when I at least want it installed and playing radio and CD 's not expecting navi to work at all, I'm already hatin' myself for not doing any research before buying something off ebay >.<

Thanks in advance =)

Your local dealer's service department might be willing to print you out the Tequipment installation instructions, as this is/was an after sales Tequipment catalog part.

You could also try contacting Loren at Renntech. I would also suggest becoming a contributing member over there, since it will give you access to TSB's and other documentation.

Good luck.

The TSB is 04/04 9110 that deals with retrofitting the CDR23 with PCM 2. The TSB is a 2004 date.

Oh, man...

If you're going from a CDR-23 the world is your oyster. You can easily drop a state-of-the-art aftermarket system in there with no issues whatsoever. Resell that OEM brick on eBay and go find something decent.

Here's the thread I ran on replacing the CDR-23 in my '05: https://rennlist.com/forums/porsche-...completed.html

I second that. The PCM 3 is the only reasonsble option with PCM's. Go aftermarket and get something much better and a whole lot less $

Hi guys, how do I become a contributing member, and get access to TSBs please?
(So far I've purchased the 1 year membership, but can't find TSB on the website).
Thanks,
Arthur

You need to become a contributing member at www.renntech.org and you will have access to all of the TSB's.
