Default Spark Plug Replacement

In the search for my Cayenne GTS my wife asked about maintenance so I Googled Porsche Cayenne Maintenance Schedule. Everything seemed normal until I got to spark plugs. It said to replace them every 30,000Km or 18,000 miles, that seems kind of extreme, everybody else is using platinum tipped plugs that go 100,000 miles. Is this the norm of owning a Cayenne? Is there a platinum tipped plug to replace the OEM plugs?

I see every 4yrs or 40K for the GTS too. Here is a link to Porsches site:

For the '06's it is 40K for Turbos and 60k for NA. Don't see a reason for the GTS's to be that much different. Where did you see 18k mi.?

Personally I wouldn't use anything but the recommended Bosch plugs,

Here's what I found, (they must be harder on their cars in Europe than we are in the States):

Wow, pg 10 actually says 18k mi. for an '09 S, I have a hard time believing that's correct. I would confirm that figure with the Service Manual in the glovebox.
