Strangely enough, Textar brake discs are now available in the USA.
Not so strange is that the discs (I am refering to 996/986S at the moment) are made in China.

Yea, if it is too cheap to believe, it is usually Chinese. The Chinese brake rotors have given many people problems with premature warping and such. The Cast Iron is subpar and pourous.

Quick update, I have been told the SHW made Cayenne Turbo S front rotors may be available through TextarOE line in September, should be about $400 each, so worth waiting!!

Not changed yet, waiting for the Textar/SHW ones to show up, hopefully in the next 3 months they will be available, I reckon I have another years worth on the originals.

I spoke to APEC a while back they reckon they would have them by now. Would you consider this brand, or just changing the friction part and retaining the alloy hat?

Resurrecting this thread, wish I'd found it a couple days ago before starting another. I will have about 70,000 miles at the time of the brake service I"m anticipating late this year. I'm definitely going to need rotors, pads, tires at that time. My question this time is on calipers. Recommend replacement? I can only assume mine are original, have had the car since 40k miles. Should I swap them out? I want to change the color anyway from red to yellow, so I'm already in for $150 a piece doing that. If new can be ordered in yellow, makes it easier to pull the trigger. Thoughts? TIA

I really want yellow Thanks for the good word. I did some checking last night and was starting to think there was only red. Thank you for confirming. I may still paint them. They can also be restored to original or replaced.

I also need to buy front rotors. The part number listed on page 1 doesn't look right - anyone have the specific part numbers for the '06 CTTS rotors? Thanks.

95535140261 and 95535140161, the part #'s originally ended with a '0' but have been superseded with the part #'s I listed ending with a '1'.

Bad news, just heard back and Textar will not be doing these. Hope Sebro may take up the fight, would people consider a one piece disc?
