I like it too, it has that touch of blue that makes it close to the old Polar silver.

Keep finding leather in strange places!

And the brakes? "Whoa big fella" They are fierce!

I have a very rare option in the US. Webasto gasoline fired engine/cabin pre heater. Spent about $1000 getting it running again. Nice option here in Iowa and Northern WI

Would that be option code 7VE? It comes up on vinanalytics as "pre-heater with timer". If so, I've also got that on a 2008 Cayenne Turbo that I just picked up that looks to be very highly optioned. Original MSRP at $136,485.

Also includes what's an apparently rare option of leather wrapped vents.

My 2008 Turbo has:

-PDCC
-Pano roof
-Sport Design Package (incl side skirts, Turbo S tail pipes and bi plane rear wing)
-Rear entertainment screens
-Stainless steel front and rear bumper “guards”
-Front grills and side mirrors painted in contrasting matt silver
- 4 zone a/c
-Alluminium look instrument dials
-Roll up rear 1/4 sunscreens
-Electric tail gate (was this an option?)
-21 inch GTS wheels

+ a few others that I am yet to decode.

My Basalt on Black/Alcantara '09 Turbo S:

BASE Cayenne Turbo S
0TD Front & Rear Flr Mats Int Clr
1D6 Trailer Hitch w/o Hitch Ball
3FE Moonroof
3X1 Ski Bag
3Y4 Roll up Sunscreen-1/4 Windows
4F6 Porsche Entry and Drive
6A7 Fire Extinguisher with PCM
7D7 6-disc CD Changer
7VE Pre Heater w/ Timer
7X8 Rear Camera Incl. Park Asst.
9W5 Bluetooth Phone Interface
ALA Thicker Steering Whl 2 Tone
EXT All Wheel Drive
NQ Black Full Leather
PH4 Dark Wood Package w/Lever
PJ1 Thermally Insulated Glass
PO6 Light Comfort Package
PT2 Offroad Technology Package
QJ4 Exterior Package Black
QV4 XM Satellite Radio
UF1 Universal Audio Interface Z4 Basalt Black Metallic

Some are just features the car happens to have rather than options but that's how the VIN decodes. Interesting ones (for the year/generation) are the Thermal Insulated Glass, Porsche Entry and Drive, Fire Extinguisher, Parking Heater and Offroad Technology Package - haven't seen many of any of those around. The thermal glass is a PIA to replace. MSRP was $171,550.00, but that's CAD. At the time the dollar was near parity, but Porsche hadn't quite caught up with that.

Does anyone have a VIN decoder that I can use to check the full options list on my car?

Most options - definitely not. Most expensive - maybe!

Aussie dollars skews it a little but for reference the median house price in my state for 2005 was $270k

Hmm, buy a house or a new Porsche? As the saying goes - "You can live in a car, but nobody races houses!"
