First rule of Moderating... Never listen to users, especially those with Pom Poms and a blind faith in a badge.
It's a for profit car company, not a religion.

Second rule of Moderating...

oddly, most of them thought the cayenne would be a better buy.

WTF, it has nothing to do with profit.

A Porsche is a car with universal appeal; it appeals equally to those with more money than sense and those with less sense than money. Taken to the exteremes it also appeals to those with no money and no sense.

It has everything to do with profit, hence the very existence of the P!g, conceived by Dr. W, a man who truly deserves an entire wing of hell named after him.

Yes, the car that most people believe is synonymous with Porsche (the 911) does have universal appeal ... the Cayenne and Panamera are merely riding the coat tails (although it could be argued that the Panamera can trace its lineage back to the 928).

You (as a P!g owner) are merely a pawn on the Porsche Chess board of the evil Dr. W.

The Cayenne was a necessary evil, designed to ensure the future of the 911 and to ensure the future of Porsche as an independent auto manufacturer. Without the Cayenne, the Mayan prediction of the end of Porsche in 2012 would come true.

Wait a minute...Porsche isn't independent ?.... and VAG isn't commenting on the rumors of the 911 eventually being phased out if the fuel consumption numbers can't be improved? ....

Damn, Dr. W. played everyone for a fool ... well, at least he will be fired and not receive a golden parachute....Wait, he got how much?

Oh, the humanity.

The Cayman GT2 is in the wings waiting for anachronistic 911 owners to be weened off of 2 vestigial seats and an engine hanging out of the *** end.
