Power Play is sooo right!

But if OldGuy can't even buy one to enjoy, how can he ever get to experience the quality?

What salesperson doesn't call a prospect back, even if they can't satisfy their requirements immediately?

First of all you are great! I appreciate the support. For those of you who said the CTT wins it wasnt in the eqaution it was BMW X5M vs Cayenne S as far as the Dollars are concerned.
As far as driving it day after day, I have had my current X5 4.8iS for 5 years. And I was always happy with that car, if not, I would not even consider it. Also, the dealer in Bakersfield (BMW) has bent over backwards for me for 6 years. Service is EXCELLENT, the people are GREAT and its just great to go there!! I know everyone from the sales manager to the service manager to the techs and the salesman.
Just great people yet I STILL gave Porsche a chance, and no call backs from not only MY dealer but others around So Cal.
YOU guys know I am a Porsche guy through and through and tried to get my first Cayenne and couldnt pull it off.

WOW, got the thing today. This vehicle is on another level. Just freaking amazing.
Now remember I havent ever driven a Cayenne TT, so I have nothing to compare it
to, but this X5M has every option but rear seat entertainment.
HUD, soft close doors, side and rear cameras, on and on... And the deal I got is
freaking killer. By the time they put Chrome wheels on it I was almost 9 Grand back of invoice.
If you guys want a nice BMW please go to Bakersfield BMW and talk to Ali Douglas.
The leather is soft something called Merino Leather, 20 way adjustable seats
on and on and on. I really wanted a Cayenne but I think I came out pretty damn good.

First of all, congrats on your BMW.

Second of all, if you REALLY wanted a Cayenne, you would have found a way to get one. A dealership bending over backwards and a few % off of a car isn't enough for me to get it over the one I REALLY want, but that's me and that's why I'm not driving anything other than what I want.

Good luck with your car and my initial suggestion would have been to go with a slightly used '11 CTT, but there's always another time

Or the converse statement...
If you really wanted to get RID of a Cayenne, you would have found a way ....

Oldguy, you are not driving a P!G - thats a win right there!

(I have one of the first x5 50i's delivered. Love it. 450 ft/lb of torque feels incredible... the M must feel as light as a feather.)

Yes, but I guarantee you that it's easier to buy a P!G than to get rid of one. Unless you're The Aviator, of course

You know, I hate my P!G's derriere, think it to be its worst feature, but I'll take the Japanes-ey look (it's documented here that I have walked up to a Nissan Murano in the dark, thinking it's my CTT) over X5's minivan look any day

Then, of course, there's the interior, but let's not make this a BMW vs P!G thread

And btw, does your x5 have its own t-shirt?

P!G T-Shirt makes all the difference. Perhaps an X-5 shirt which says "Wanted a Cayenne but was judged unworthy"

Quite frankly, you did the right thing by quickly editing your post & adding the " "

You just don't wave your finger in BTO's face

Congrats on the '11 X5M OldGuy. I've had mine for 18 months and 11k miles. It is a fantastic SUV daily driver.

when researching X5's vs the Cayenne, and I'm a BMW guy, I found the Cayenne to have far less issues. Even the X5 guys on a BMW forum I mod on told me the same.
