Apologies. I thought you had the Nav before, just replaced it.

I had Nav but not the compass. I never set the Nav to show directions so I didn't think about it.

Mine does pretty well. Crappy phone pic of the continuous trip data. This is on a modified 2004 Turbo.

I installed the microphone and USB connector in the empty switch position.
First pic is with the USB drive, second empty, and the third with a USB dust cover.

Mic works fine. USB is convenient.

How long do you think it takes to do this and how difficult is it for a moderate DIY'er? This is somehting I want to do but concerned that I take out my PCM and then I can't get it to work.

The time to do the install was only a couple hours.

For someone that can read and understand wiring diagrams and knows how to splice and solder it shouldn't be a problem.

If you don't mind, I'm curious what your total cost was for the project?

The Kenwood was $1200, 955 MOST HUR interface $525, Sirius IF $50, CMOS310 Camera $250, trim kit $95.

I also used this adaptor. It's not cheap €67 with shipping but it made the install a lot easier and I didn't have to alter any of the OEM wires. I couldn't find it here in the US.

I'm told the OEM unit is worth several hundred $ which would help offset the cost but I think I'll keep it for when its time to sell or trade it in.

How does one get around the radio's "security" feature? .. the one that deactivates the radio because the car thinks it is being stolen.

Rob, did you have to take it to the dealership to have them program the most system since the PCM was missing? I pretty much have the exact same setup, I installed everything and the deck works great except there is no sound whatsoever. I feel like the amp won't turn on. I had a PCM 2 in a 08 Cayenne Turbo.

Anyone else's help would be greatly appreciated. Mudman, does everyone have to get the dealer to program their most like you are suggesting? Because I called my local dealership and they said they've never had anyone come in to have anything like that programmed for a stereo...

I was referring to the question on adding a PCM to a Cayenne, it needs to be programmed into the system, that is the security system.

If Robb got the amp to come up with his install then it sounds like something else may be going on.
