If you like to drive get a GTS, as close as an SUV can come to your 911. If the hockey sticks become a challenge, then put a mother-in-law box up top for the season.

If you are looking used, you can get a Turbo for not much more than an S. The Turbo is an enjoyable ride.
You can stack the gear up in back with the pull up net, and the back cover is removable for more room. You can get necessary mats and things to protect the cargo area. Three kids in back is not a problem, but leg room is not huge. You would probably have to put the sticks sideways but it would be doable if they are not adult sticks. I am not sure very many adult sticks would fit sideways.

Ok I have been putting it off but looks like I have to go test drive one. All you two Porsche guys must be doing it for a reason. I liked the idea if the equipment doesn't fit change sports. He plays soccer too, guess I could tell him I only have room for a soccer ball going forward. Thanks for all the input.
