Default Front Seat Back Removal?

Can anyone help me to understand how to remove the front seat back on an '08 P!G - you know, the big piece on the backs of the front seats with the storage pockets?

If you wait long enough it will fall off.

Well mine did.

If I remember rightly, it's hooked in at bottom and fixed by some spring clips on brackets which are glued onto the seatback itself. I think a firm pull from the top will release it............and I think there's some velcro in there somewhere too.

So did mine!

And it did so because the clips broke.

All by itself? Excellent - that'll make it easier! Does it self-install as well?

I just figured it out and this is pretty much exactly it. Thanks!

I broke mine this summer............HOW DO YOU REPAIR IT?

I would like to remove mine all the way but it seems to be attached via fabric near the bottom.

Then I can probably glue on new clips etc....

There are about 4 or 5 clips/hooks underneath that need to be undone, pull out from the top, and then lift and pull the whole thing off.

Isn't it obvious? mcbit has a camel in the back and I have Mickey kicking the driver's seat, screaming to go faster. And in case you ask why he's not in the front seat, well, that's because that one is reserved for the Terrierist

Trying to think who I'd rather have in the back seat or who would leave the bigger mess, Mickey or a camel......

Take it to the dealer.

Mine fell off on the GTS at 25k km. when the glue parted company with the seat back. Repaired by the dealer under warranty.

Other glue related issues on the CTT, headliner dropped so I took in tnto my local indy workshop to be sorted. Went to pick it up on completion but couldn't as the rear view mirror dropped off as they were driving the P!G out the shop. Repaired FOC as it was in their possession when it fell off.

Workmate with 06 CTT has had the seat back fall off (glue) and the headliner drop.

I guess the glue can't take the 50C heat in the summer.
