2004 Cayenne TT! There is a insolation pad on the underside of the hood big and thick! Would it be beneficial to remove to let the heat out of the engine when parked? Would like to hear your opinions! In late 2005 Porsche discontinued it, do not know why! What do you all think!

Is it possible there was an engineering/design change in 2005 that resulted in less heat (or noise) output from the engine making the insulating pad unnecessary? You could try removing it temporarily and see what effect it has. If the hood gets hot without it you'll want to leave it in place as it could have negative effects on the paint.

Those pads are designed to contain sound, not heat. If it gets hot enough to scorch the paint then you have other problems to address.
Why do want to get rid of it? are you shaving weight?
