06 Cayenne - Ignition Lock Faulty
Went to start my Cayenne this morning in my city garage and received this error: "Ignition Lock Faulty". The car turns over, but there is no ignition (i.e. not a battery issue). Tried both keys with no luck.
Has anyone been able to solve this issue WITHOUT taking to a dealer?
If dealer is required, getting out of my garage will not be fun.

Track Day
I received the same error when i was checking my fuses to install a dvd/nav stereo and amp. i was pulling fuses and checking them, then i may have put one fuse back in the incorrect place, which i thought was the correct place. got in my car to go to a friends house to finish my stereo install and the cayenne would not start. rechecked all my fuses and found a red 5a fuse that needed to be in the slot for the rear brake light. i put the 5a fuse in and the rear brake light and can now turn on the cayenne. so, i would check that option. hope its not too late for this post, but this was my particular issue.
