Default Q: Long Term Towing with Pepper

Contemplating grabbing an 08/09 GTS for towing. Mileage I'm seeing locally is between 35-50K. Does anyone have thoughts/comments about long term usage of a Cayenne for towing? Any problems pop up after 50K that you attribute to towing in particular?

Have you towed before?
The same maintenance rules would apply to early oil/fluid changes.

If it were me (and thankfully it's not), I would recommend investing in a ScanGauge II, just so you can monitor the various temperatures (that are not provdided for on the dash).

But Cayenne isn't German, it is French:

Named for the city of Cayenne in French Guiana

Or was the typo Alsace?

What's the problem?.....we managed 1 complete response to your question before going hopelessly OT.

Wish I could give you feedback; only towed twice and have just 4K miles on my '11 P!G.

Calm down. Somebody does a bit of towing and will chime in. Meanwhile enjoy the ride.

Actually, there are some folks who have long term towing experience, former forum veterans like skl, JFScheck, Larrry ...scratch that he's dead.

Without knowing what is being towed it is difficult to say.
One thing is for certain, the P!g does not have the same cooling capacity as a proper tow vehicle, hence the suggestion for the Scangauge.
