It is difficult to take a person, who wrapped their car in a carbon fiber condom wrap , rather seriously....

Dragging a cardan shaft behind your P!g does not count as towing.
However, I will admit the James Bond inspired and cracked coolant tube fed rear smoke screen was a nice touch.

So for giggles sake, what would the P!g need to be a proper tow vehicle, LTC or others? A transmission fluid cooler? Or oil cooler?

I've heard towing is hard on transmissions, plus the usual brakes and engine stress. But if you won a Leipzig Chamber of Commerce raffle to run the engineering departmet for a day, what you add to make the Cayenne more tow-capable? Besides LEDs?

[Prediction: 7 smart-*** responses, after which LTC will proffer an articulate, well-thought-through mini essay of exactly what he would have done, as if this question has been pondered many, many times...]

I can see there are problems with citing Keanu as an authority on anything , my mistake

I could have picked Gene Autrey, Les Paul, or Freddy Fender.

2006 S with 70k
Limited regular usage and mostly our tow machine
4000lb Boat trailer with no trailer brakes every weekend from May - Sept.
Trailex trailer with surge brakes about a dozen times this year loaded with various weight German cars.
Utility trailer for college move ins, trash disposal and odd sized purchases.
5k engine oil changes
3 sets of brake pads, 2 sets of rotors.
P car guru Jerry Pellegrino at EPE says to leave the tranny fluid alone unless I absolutely insist.(I don't second guess the master)
Pulls like a train and I have to keep reminding myself to slow down.
When towing try to remember to manually select 1st gear or she will start off in 2nd.
I need 3 different draw bars as each trailer has a different tongue height along with 2 different lighting pigtail connectors to keep all the lights correctly wired .
Never had the dreaded "check trailer lights" message others have spoken about, but I only use incandescent bulbs, no LEDs for me.
Best tow machine I could ask for.

Yes, now that the original question has been addressed (and BTW I had no issues towing for 7 years with my C-S and the CTT is even better!) we can go back OT...

His nuts are on a stick, or his nuts are still warm and beating in a jar? Or one of each?

Don't you guys know carbon fiber condoms are lighter than normal? I'd wrap a pepper too.

Seriously.

From my own experience, if you tow after 50k miles, make sure you have a good extended warranty. You won't believe how much a new transmission costs. Just sayin . . .

2010 GTS with 25k
Limited trailer usage - Aluma open trailer with electric brakes about a dozen times this year loaded with a 2,800lb RSA
Pulls like a train and I have to keep reminding myself to slow down.
Never had the dreaded "check trailer lights" message others have spoken about, but I had to install a separate brake light circuit to deal with the LED lights which was a PITA.
Best tow machine I could ask for.

2011 Cayenne S a little over 11,000 miles in 10 months of this mileage just under half has been with a Trailex enclosed trailer (with electric brakes) hooked up. Cayenne tows great. Gets around 12.5 miles per gal and can easily cruise at interstate speeds and pass with ease. I have finally found some good extended towing mirrors. No other mods to the Cayenne ( factory tow package)

I have had several warranty issues with the "Pig" but none were towing related. Shortly after delivery a new DME computer installed under factory recall, new rear lift gate motor at around 6000 miles and today they are replacing an idler tension pulley because of slight oil leak. Oil is changed as close to 5000 miles as possible. Love the Cayenne. Our '08 GTS was great, protected us from a Suburban driver that failed to stop but the 2011 Cayenne S is even better. It is a keeper
