As far as your other choices...the Toureg has plenty of issues AND crappy customer service, so cross that one off.
While my Touareg hasn't been issue free over the 5 years I've owned it, I certainly haven't experienced the litany of problems that Cayenne owners seem to report. And I have recieved nothing but great customer service from my VW dealer. In fact, I am always treated like a rock star when I show up. Might have something to do with the fact that my Touareg was probably the most expensive car the dealer ever sold as well as purchasing an R32 less than a year later from the same dealer which wasn't inexpensive either.
Ironically, I came very close to pulling the trigger on a new '06 Cayenne S Titanium but bought the Touareg V10 TDI instead. Same price got me a lot more content and a ton more power. Of course, other than the V10 TDI badge on the back, it dosesn't have the flash factor that a Cayenne has but that's ok. I have a yellow 993 with aerokit for that.
