Default AWD/PSM Failure Messages

Hey all,

Did some searching and did not fines anything definitive

Getting AWD and PSM Failure messages, have not scanned with Duramatiric yet but has anyone seen this? Some servo motor?

Or, could it just be my battery getting flaky, I think it's the original from 2004!
Also, when playing the radio with the car off for my Daughter I got the "Low battery" (or whatever the verbiage is,message) within 10 minutes.

Thanks!

Forget durametric..and hunting down elusive error codes. Mudman is selling his "all sorted out" cayenne.

I had a PCM/AWD error show up on the display on a trip down to Fla a couple of years ago. Turned out it was a known problem that required the replacement of xfer case potentiometer (at P of Orlando) and the xfer case Control Unit (which requires reprograming) at P of Nashville. The Control Unit couldn't be done in Orlando because I wasn't going to be there long enough for it to be delivered and the potentiometer part kept the error from popping up on return trip.

Fault Code was 2039 per invoice (Tech info sheet 19/10)

Mine was done under warranty (CPO).

Good luck.

72K , Build date is around March-2004 I think. Air Suspension.

No strut issues but I think my Air Pump is ready for some service.

You can get a replacement airpump from Wabco, the OES from these guys: http://www.arnottindustries.com/

I use their air struts for our X5 and they have held up well. *when* the Cayenne's air suspension goes, I will use their air springs.

The radio msg is normal if you're using it while the engine is off. Just says the radio operation will shut off in a certain period to avoid battery drain. I get it all the time waiting for my wife at the airport.

Early models have metal fatigue issues at the top near the airbag, that can go and destroy the bag

repair is possible dealers want to replace

Should we take the new avatar to mean your fuel pump is repaired?
