Default PCM Tips & Tricks

I wonder if it wouldn't be a good idea to have a thread of this info easily accessible?

Now we just need some actual Tips & Tricks in the thread

I thought about copy/paste other folks tips from other threads but didn't feel right doing that so I'll let them include it.

Before this really gets going, just a thought. Are any of these tips version or model year specific? Just thought it might be useful to include that info with the tip. Otherwise, never mind......

These are the levels in my unit:

In the interest of knowing what the latest S/W levels are, I don't know if these are the latest but I did update the system about a year ago.
Edit: Turns out I did the update May '08

On a '06 CS

PCM 3.1

PCM Actual: 05024BD1/1705
System S/W Actual: 04304AD1/3004
Amp Actual: 00016457/3804
Sat Radio Actual: 0155/4104
Nav Syatem Actual: 00179436/3306

I'm not including the CD Changer info because that was pulled for a mObridge unit before the latest update was installed.

I will add the numbers from the actual Nav DVD later.
Nav & PCM Update (8/2007) P/N = 955.044.902.61

This is a great tip, thanks!

When you say push 1,4 and 8, are you referring to the numbers on the phone pad? Is this done with ignition on or off? And is the PSM light something that an OBD scanner can pick up or is this something only a Pcar dealer can pull up?

I'm a newbie to Cayennes and actively looking. One of the ones on my list has the PSM light on. Seller is saying this popped up recently when new tires were installed, not sure I believe this so having this information would be very helpful.

We didn't get that many tips or tricks in this thread, I would suggest we un-sticky it...

BTW, is there a way to view the nearest gas stations when you're already in "Route Guidance" mode? The only way I've figured out to do it is turn off the active route guidance and then search under POI, is that the only way to do it?

Hold the lock button down for 1 sec plus and the mirrors will fold in as you walk away. They return as soon as you start up.
