I know... I have 2 snow shovels.
You need them in Colorado!

Up here, I have a snow thrower

LOL, JPP. Would you be more jealous if I told you that I have a snow thrower/blower as well? :P

ArneeA: Coolant level should be good... got a PPI done prior to purchase.

I am loving this beast! Already put 200 miles on it.

The DVD disc I think is gone bad. It has so many scratches, looks like someone tried a sandpaper on it.

Can someone who has a 2008 CS, with PCM 2.1 confirm what version/part# of data DVD to use? Mine says... 997.642.257.05 and I saw a bunch of them being sold at that auction site. I will prolly get one of those.

The nav disc that came with the P!G is not working for some reason. Can someone confirm the part number on it? Maybe the disc is bad? The number on it is this "997.642.257.05". Is that correct?

The first mod is to replace the amber side marker with clear ones. Part on its way from suncoast parts. Will do that on Wednesday.

Thanks!
=K
FYI, there are 3 (at least) dealerships that do "parts cost + 15%" that I know of, Suncoast in FL, Hennessey in Atlanta and (the original) Sunset in OR. For me the one that is closest is Hennessey, you may consider using Sunset. The guys at Sunset have been doing it the longest and know their stuff.

Just a suggestion.

i have in the past bought a lot of stuff for my Boxster from Sunset. This time though, the prices at suncoast were cheaper than sunset for the clear side marker and CD magazine. So ordered them both from suncoast.

My boxster's key fob needs replacement and I will order that from sunset... Jeff Clark over there is very knowledgeable and helpful.

BTW, that's a beautiful 993 you have!

Two hints on the CD changer cartridges:

1. Ebay - and the same one is used on several other cars (non-Porsche)
2. Plug the CD cartridge model number into Google (it's on the cartridge.) Sources will turn up.

I have half a dozen cartridges (I'm a Luddite of sorts stuck in last century technology) - and haven't paid over $8 for one.
