Default Help with Trailer light resistors for LED's

So after almost 2 years of joyful Cayenne towing with my Econo trailer and never seeing the dreaded "!", I went and upgraded to a "new to me" Trailex.

Long story short, the connector to the Trailex is a flat 4-pin so my 7 pin to 7 pin adapter won't work. The Valley adapter is out of stock until Q-2 2012, uhaul no longer sells that adapter, and the VW adapter is also out of stock

After searching the forum and looking into resistors, there are a number of different specs; 6 Ohm 50w, 6 Ohm 60w, 10 Ohm 25w, etc.

If someone who has successfully used this fix to offset Porsche's wonderful engineering around trailer lighting and can recommend the correct resistors to use, I would be deeply indebted!

Simply replace your LEDs with one 10 or 20 watt standard incandescent bulb in the turn signal circuit and the brake light circuit.
