Question Choice: CPOd 04 vs 06! $10m premium for same Pig?

The 06 is a **** with heated memory seats.
The 04 has 18" turbo wheels, heated memory seats, plush seats, Nav.
Both have 50m-ish miles, tow package, and most importantly CPO that goes for 2 years or to 100m miles. The 06 is $35m the 04 is $25m.

I don't know the warranty history of either. Just curious what your gut instinct would choose and why?

They both are overpriced. An '06 TiS with CPO until 12/12 cost me a bit more (back in March) then the '04 is being sold for. Plus the '04 probably doesn't have much CPO left since AFAIK the CPO is based on the in-service date (when the truck left the dealership with an owner the first time..) and it's 6 years/100k miles from then - not when the vehicle is resold (mine was originally sold on 12/06..)

I wouldn't pick either - I'd continue shopping. It's not like there is a shortage of them for sale.. or do some serious dickering with the seller of the '06 (which if it's a TiS should have everything but the plush seats.. it should have 19" Ti sport wheels - much more $$ then the 18" turbo wheels..)

Yes, the 06 is a Tis. I only listed the other options as I've seen Tis without memory seats.

This was a Cars.com search of CPOd Cayennes. There was nothing with comparable or lower mileage at a lower price. Where around NJ did you find yours?

If both (or either) are being offered by a Porsche dealer with a new CPO warranty, the warranty will go for two years from the date you purchase the car or 6 years from original in service date (whichever is longer).

For reference, I recently sold my 2006 S for $26,500. It is in immaculate condition (see description below).

2006 Cayenne S
2nd owner
CPO through April 2012
53,000 miles
Sand White Exterior
Havanna/Sand Beige Interior

Bi-Xenon
Comfort Seats with memory
PCM/Navigation
Variable Assist steering
Moonroof
Seat Heaters
Sports tail pipe
19" Sport Design wheels
Burl wood steering wheel & shifter

All service records. 2 new tires and 2 at 70% (Latitude Sports)
Coolant Pipes and Front Suspension bushings replaced

I am just about to start prepping my 2006 Titanium for sale. Haven't listed it anywhere yet.

82K on the clock, fully Porsche serviced (80K just done a few weeks ago) and is CPO until November 2012. Never had a problem with it.

Just starting to think about pricing, but there is definitely a deal to be done if you are interested in a local sale.....
