Anyone know if it's doable?
Would it be more direct to the fuel pump if the gas filler cap was on the center of the hood of a 955 Cayenne?
i'm trying to modify / personalize my 955 like Singer does to the 964 911s.
Which hood? The front? Uhhh... you do know the fuel tank is in the rear of the car under the rear seat right? That would seem to be rather far to run a filler pipe to the tank, and would require some serious work on the emission vapor recovery system.

A few hints on getting good answers to questions:

1. Don't tack your question to the end of a thread that really has nothing to do with your question (like this one) - start your own thread with your own SUBJECT. More people who might be helpful might notice it and at least look.
2. ALWAYS give the year/model of your Cayenne. We know you have a 955 - but that was available with about 3-4 different engines (probably 5 if you count Euro only versions.)
3. If referring to something like a mod that you saw in another thread - put a link in your message to the thread. People will often find more information that way and that helps them understand what you're asking about.

My gut feeling - this would be a rather bizarre modification to a Cayenne - any Cayenne. It certainly wouldn't enhance the value, and just doing it considering how crowded it is under the hood seems unlikely - and where would the pipe to the gas tank run? It would be much less direct to the fuel pumps, and it would pass no emissions inspection. It also might be considered a hazardous modification to the vehicle, and your insurance company might question their coverage.

Other than that - welcome to the forums!

I am betting he doesn't have a 955.

There is a pretty good article with pictures on Pelican parts, there are good pictures of the connections in that thread.

Good luck!

Two questions please:

1) Orientation: Is the Fuel Pressure Regulator is the diagram on the DRIVER's side of the car?

2) Is this Fuel Pressure Regulator perhaps the source of the enigmatic P0089 error code - "Fuel Pressure Regulator 1 Performance"?

this helps I finally got to put the pumps back but I still have the fuel pressure implausible code. The high pressure codes. I changed the fuel pumps in tank with the fuel filter and high pressure pump on the engine. Also the sensor on the fuel rail. 🤦🏻‍♂️

I know this is a few years old but these diagrams are great. Thank you however i have a question if any of you know or have a pic of the line routing around the level sensors? and does one side of tank read differently then the other say 1st half a tank is the righ then the 2nd half is left ?
