I bought a new cayenne s about 4 months ago. The engine cuts off suddenly while I am driving. This has happened three times. The car is with the dealer. He says that they have checked the softwrae and there is no problem. Afte enquires with other owners I found out that at least two other people have has similar experiences.

Is this a common problem with the cayenne? Has anybody been able to resolve this issue? Please advise. Thanks

Cutoff like this always makes me think fuel pump.. but it could be a multitude of things.. certainly if the dealer says there is nothing wrong, and the truck is only 4 months old - I'd be looking into what's required to return it under lemon laws (assuming wherever you are has lemon laws..)

same issue here, it cuts off suddenly and I have to restart the engine, especially dangerous if people are behind you...
Dealer said they updated the software, but problem still persists.

I know this is an old thread but I just purchased my 2011 CS in April it is used and my engine shut off all the car's electronics too, I was in traffic waiting for a light, it puttered a little when it shut off and when I restarted. I took it to the dealer, they ran a diagnostic and it showed nothing was wrong. Has anyone else had this problem resolved?
